The sensitivity of ears in people with Autism is due to the way their brain processes sensory information. The auditory system in the brain of an autistic person is often overactive, which can cause them to experience sounds as louder and more intense than others. This can lead to discomfort, anxiety, and even physical pain in some cases

 How can you help?

It's important to create a sensory-friendly environment for autistic individuals to help them feel more comfortable and supported.

To support a person with autism in loud environments or with many noises, you can try the following strategies:

1. Use noise-cancelling headphones or earplugs reduce the impact of loud sounds.

2. Create a quiet space where the person can retreat to if they become overwhelmed.

3. Use visual aids such as pictures or written instructions to help the person understand what is happening around them.

4. Provide warnings before loud noises occur so the person can prepare themselves.

5. Use calming techniques such as deep breathing or meditation to help person relax.
